Cookie Wonders x Alja Horvat

Alja Horvat teamed up with Cookie Wonders as an art director, designer, and illustrator to create the company's logo and fortune cookie packaging.

Maïa and Sabou, the founders, wanted the packaging to represent their friend group. I started by preparing a sketch featuring all their friends. Eventually, we decided to feature only Maïa and Sabou on the packaging, emphasizing their role as the company's founders.


To give you a glimpse into the creative process, here is the first black-and-white sketch I made. This initial drawing laid the foundation for the final design, capturing the essence of a cozy, friendly gathering in a picturesque garden. It was from this concept that we evolved the packaging into the colorful, engaging design you see now.


The design process was a collaborative journey. Maïa and Sabou's vision was to create packaging that felt personal and inviting. The final design showcases them in a whimsical garden setting, sharing a moment over fortune cookies, which beautifully reflects the company's mission to empower and inspire. The vibrant colors and playful elements aim to bring joy and a touch of magic to anyone who sees it.

Additionally, here are the initial logo sketches. I wanted the logo to have a playful and memorable feel, so I incorporated the shape of a fortune cookie into the letter 'C' of "Cookie Wonders." This subtle touch ties the logo directly to the product, creating a visual link that’s both clever and charming. These sketches show the development process and the evolution of the final logo, reflecting the brand’s unique identity and fun spirit.
